Storage Ideas for Kitchen

Kitchen occupies an important place in the house, as it is the kingdom of the lady of the house.  Women of the house spend more than half of their time in the kitchen. A cluttered kitchen will surely make your everyday cooking activities extra tiring.

The kitchen is and always will be a baffled place to organize.  Always there will be never-ending accessories, endless food cans, boxes and bags filling up every nook and corner of the kitchen, especially if it is not a big kitchen. So let us look into few kitchen hacks and ideas to help you, the ideas that are beautiful and functional.

The first big step is scan your container collection and weed out the unwanted and less usedThis includes a deep clean of your refrigerator and cabinets or shelves in the kitchen.

The next step is to separate the storage containers and lids according to the sizes and shapes. You can stack all the empty and unused containers at one side in the drawer. Use a clip or a mesh or plastic basket to the side of the cupboard door to hold your container lids. You can also hang two of these on the inside of the door and store your sorted lids.

Use Pull out rack. This pull-out rack system helps in storing pots, pans, and lids with ease. As they’re adjustable, you can store items of different shapes or sizes in one convenient area. If your kitchen is small and has few cupboards, then the best option is to use any wall space available. Just measure the area, get a tailor made pegboard, add some hooks to the wall and hang them.

Another idea is to have a rotating storage organiser on the bottom of the shelf to hang your cutlery items. This way you will be able to save some space in the drawers to store the jars and bottles.  By adding some simple hooks to your cupboard shelves, mugs can be hung instead of piled up inside the shelves.

Open Shelves on the kitchen walls are of great use. The stainless steel fittings or shelves can hold your decorative accessories or store daily dishes. At a later stage, you can either keep it open or close them using soft close hinges.

 

Fruit and Vegetable Hanging Storage baskets with Hooks – It saves space  as it can be hanged on the wall.  These baskets could be used to store all kinds fruits, onions, and potatoes. Hooks at the bottom of the baskets are perfect for mugs and towels or hanging garlic and peppers. Under sink drawer and Pull out trash can – You can place a deep cabinet under the sink using auto hinges. This drawer can be used for keeping the cleaning supplies visible.  Use a pull out trash can to hide your trash bins and frees up the floor space. The side nook can be used for trash bags or air fresheners.

To conclude, taking advantage of empty verticals in the cabinets use risers to get more storage in each shelf. This will help keep items separated so that it is easy to pick them out when needed.
